He is computer engineer graduated from Bombay University and has done Executive MBA in Strategy Management from The Strategy Academy.

Most of the products of Grasim Chemicals transported are hazardous in nature, and hence enroute safety was the key requirement including online tracking of all consignments and consequence management for various violation like speed, night driving, route, halt etc. IoT Enabled Logistic Control Tower was built to improve safety and support an organization and ECO system by effective utilization of information / Data and sharing with customers and transporters through realtime dashboard and mobile app for drivers engaged by transporters on 3,500 fleets engaged by Grasim Chemicals. A Central Control Tower at Nagda was set up for monitoring and controlling the logistics activity (Vehicle movement) from all seven Manufacturing plants on both types of fleets (dedicated non-dedicated). IoT based sensors for track and trace vehicle and to get real-time alerts of various safety parameters (Speed Limit on highway and non-highway, Route Deviations, Halt Deviations, Sudden acceleration, harsh / sudden brake, night driving monitoring (distance and duration). Integrated IoT with Automated Dialer calls up respective stakeholder based on deviation and records ticket for non-adherence of standard. Persona based mobile App to Logistics and marketing team of Grasim Chemicals, Transporters helped monitor utilization of their fleets and dashboard for safety adherence by their respective drivers, customer to view real-time status Share the Innovative usage of technology. Tracking of non-dedicated fleet with plug and play GPS devices and its reverse logistics back to plant was innovative in the project. There is more visibility of all vehicles with better inventory planning by the real time tracking of vehicles. It has improved Logistics / supply chain and also reduced logistic cost - reduction in TAT, Improvement in OTIF, and Detention at customer end. Improvement in turnaround time of vehicle has resulted in reduction in freight (approx. Rs 5 Cr annualized) besides better consignment tracking (en-route visibility) and inventory planning by customer themselves results in customer satisfaction leading to increase in market share.
