DB Corp. Ltd, or Dainik Bhaskar, as it’s popularly known, identified the need for an automatic and self-service portal integrated with SAP on a real time basis for induction, training, awareness, user unlock and password resets, without having to rely on the SAP support team. Although the solution the media house was looking for was available in the market, the company opted for in-house development on Python. The team built the solution by developing new generation tools, portals, applications, and helpdesk on latest software to increase user performance. Post implementation, a user was able to reset his/her password with the official email ID and an OTP being sent to the user’s mobile number, coupled with security questions, rendered the whole process secure. This platform is independent of application and can be accessed on desktops, laptops and mobiles. User behavior and search patterns are fed into the system and the self-learning feature helps it make better suggestions to the user.
