At Bajaj Finance Ltd. – Auto Finance, Rajendra S Bisht led the migration of the company’s New Acquisition System to hyperconverged infrastructure. Bajaj Finance was on the lookout for a powerful, efficient and faster solution which would meet budget requirements while continuing to meet critical application SLAs related to scalability, performance, and reliability. The all-flash HCI set up the company deployed offered a two-node box that had the potential to cut costs even further when compared with traditional three-tier architecture, in addition to simplifying the IT setup. The hyperconverged solution implemented at the company provides scalable resources that offers all the functionality of traditional IT infrastructure including compute, storage and data protection capabilities—on a single device, with a unified, VM-centric administrative interface and can rapidly deploy and scale-up on an ad-hoc basis to meet the changing demands of the organization. With in-built resiliency, backup, and disaster recovery, the HCI solution provides near-zero RPO to mission critical systems round the clock. Soon the company will be able to reduce the number of devices in the datacenter and therefore administration, management and AMC costs will also go down drastically. The deployment optimized Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), ensured a faster deployment time, simplified management and reduced capex and opex costs.
