SRINATH MALLYA

Srinath Mallya, Sr. VP & CIO at Atos Syntel is an IT services leader with close to three decades of diverse experience ranging from technology roles to business roles with full P&L and operational responsibility. In his previous roles, he started and led the company’s testing practice and later its logistics and travel business unit. Prior to Atos Syntel, Mallya worked across various industries – instrumentation, avionics, entertainment, and electronics. His strengths include strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills, strategic thinking, team building and successfully running long-term initiatives. Mallya started his career as a management trainee at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.

In October 2018, French digital transformation major Atos SE acquired Syntel. Srinath Mallya, Sr. VP & CIO at the time, spearheaded the Atos Syntel IT operations integration. The new leadership directed IT teams to plan for integrating critical business information by 31 March 2019 to ensure seamless operations between entities using drastically different systems. Senior IT teams from both entities conducted several workshops to formulate integration approaches, activities and outcomes. While Atos Syntel teams continued to exist, Syntel’s IT applications needed to exchange data with the Atos SE IT applications. This included multiple streams and tracks in business lifecycle such as marketing, sales, finance, HR, administration, quality, project pricing and costing, project management, resource supply chain, and training. Atos Syntel’s IT team built interfaces for various applications. Syntel’s IT teams also enhanced applications to accommodate changes for timesheets, skill mapping, GDPR compliance, etc. and enabled employee services such as seat allocation, transport facilities, expense submission, and employee benefits for Atos’ US and UK employees. The IT team setup the network cross connect system to enable seamless access by all impacted employees across Atos Syntel and Atos B&PS. The teams also executed the physical movement of 6000+ employees into Syntel facilities in Pune and Chennai in record time. For the marketing and rebranding exercise for Atos Syntel, Syntel’s IT team rebranded over 100 IT modules and aligned with Atos SE branding themes. The team also made changes to over 30 organizational application URLs to reflect the new branding.
